Thanks for all your past help. More questions: Which do you suggest for a 6 year old boy if you can only do one: Pirates League or Pirates and Pals Fireworks? Will Boardwalk shops be open Thanksgiving morning? Thansk for all your help!

    Ahoy There Catherine!

The Pirates League (PL) is awesome fun! Everyone I know who has done PL has loved it!  Guests get a new name, learn some swashbuckling maneuvers & take the official Pirate League Oath.  Afterwards, new crew members are invited to come back in the afternoon to march in the Adventureland Pirate Parade (typically held around 4 p.m.).  Click here to see some of our very own "Moms" who joined the crew.

The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage (P&P) is also incredible & while both of these are 2 great options to choose from if I had to choose one, P&P would get my vote. Its something that your whole family will enjoy.

One awesome thing about P&P for families with younger kids is being able to see the fireworks without being elbow-to-elbow in a sea of people in the Magic Kingdom. You get to relax and watch them from one of the best viewing spots ever. I loved watching the fireworks over the water - it was just beautiful!  This is also a longer experience. PL lasts 30 to 60 minutes. P&P is 1 to 3 hours so it seems you get more for your money. Click here to see a video of some of the Moms Panelists on this experience.

The shops at the Boardwalk are open everyday of the year including all holidays. While most people are on a break from work and school celebrating the holidays, the amazing Cast Members at Disney are hard at work creating magic for Guests.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
