Greetings, Kristin, and welcome back to planDisney! New Year's Eve is so much fun at the Disneyland Resort.
The reserved seating for fireworks is generally available to Guests who take a VIP Tour or are members of Club 33. There are sometimes dining packages that offer reserved viewing for certain nighttime spectaculars – in my experience, these areas have been standing room only, but offerings are subject to change.
Kristin, I understand wanting to view the fireworks in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Just know that this area, as well as Main Street, U.S.A., will be very busy. You'd likely want to scope out a spot hours in advance to view from this iconic location. You might want to consider watching the fireworks from the area near "it's a small world" or along the Rivers of America. I've enjoyed fireworks from both areas.
I have some other ideas that can help you make this New Year's Eve visit one to remember forever!
Specific information about activities and entertainment for New Year's Eve will likely be available in the coming weeks. Periodically check the
Hours & Events Calendar, especially a few days before December 31, to scan the entertainment schedule. In past years, there have been dance parties, multiple countdowns, photo opportunities, and special fireworks shows.
I'd also recommend keeping an eye out for any special dining packages.
Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace is a popular option for viewing fireworks – you can't see any projections from there, but you can enjoy dinner and a panoramic balcony view of the fireworks. I just checked and saw availability for their New Year’s Eve Fireworks Dining Package, although that can change by the time you read this. You'll want to book this soon if you're interested – and if you don't see availability, keep checking back.
You can also look into the
70th Anniversary Guided Tour. This two-hour guided tour highlights important moments in Disneyland's history. It also comes with great perks, including reserved viewing for a nighttime spectacular. While offerings and experiences are subject to change, there's a chance that the reserved viewing could be for fireworks. I can't guarantee this will be the case, but I do think this tour would be a great addition to your trip. If you change your mind, you can cancel the reservation as long as you do so in advance, as outlined in the terms.
If you and a group wanted to splurge on the ultimate Disneyland Day, you can look into doing a
VIP Tour. This unique experience lasts between 7 and 10 hours for parties of up to 10 Guests. Features include a dedicated tour guide, expedited access to attractions, a collectible pin, reserved seating for select entertainment, and more. If you're interested,
reach out as soon as possible to see if there is still availability.
If you're
park hopping or planning a midday rest, try to be back inside Disneyland by early afternoon. I expect the Esplanade will get very busy in the evening as Guests start arriving for late-night celebrations.
The countdown to 2026 is on! If you have any other questions, please let us know. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
