Hi there, Joshua!
Mahalo for popping back into
planDisney with another
Walt Disney World Resort planning question. You’ll be relaxing on the sandy beach of
Seven Seas Lagoon at
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows in just a few short weeks! This Resort shares a physical location with
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and consists of three longhouses (Tokelau, Moorea, and Pago Pago) in addition to the incredible over-the-water Bungalows that I dream of staying in!
You asked about which longhouse is my favorite and I have to rave about Tokelau. This longhouse is centrally located and is just steps from the
Oasis Pool. I enjoy this quieter pool with the poolside
Oasis Bar & Grill (the kalua pork sliders and fish tacos are delicious!). Tokelau is also the longhouse that is closest to the impressive Great Ceremonial House and
Resort Monorail. The Deluxe Studios in Tokelau are considered “standard view” but many of the rooms have breathtaking views of
Magic Kingdom Park and Seven Seas Lagoon. Tokelau does have an elevator in the middle of the longhouse, which is a welcome offering when returning to your Villa after a long day of exploring the Theme Parks. While the elevators aren’t overly-spacious, I was easily able to maneuver a large double stroller to fit. When heading over to another location on the monorail loop, it’s easy to skip over to the Great Ceremonial House, where you can hop on the monorail from the 2nd floor station. If you’re looking to head to
EPCOT and are staying in Tokelau, you’ll appreciate its proximity to the
Transportation and Ticketing Center where you can easily walk to catch a monorail to the Park that is home to the World Showcase,
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and much more. The TTC is also where the ferryboats launch when traveling to Magic Kingdom Park.
Josh, you can’t go wrong when staying at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. All rooms at the Polynesian have either a patio or a private balcony. You can make a room request by chatting with a Cast Member with Disney Resort Hotel Reservations or you can add a room request to your reservation when completing your Online Check-In through the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Cast Members will do their best to fulfill your room request but all wishes are granted based on availability.
I wish you an unforgettable vacation whether you find yourself in Tokelau, Moorea or Pago Pago. Enjoy the sunsets, tiki torches and watching
Happily Ever After right outside your home away from home!
Cheers,
Candace
