Thanks. I know this has nothing to do with the parks but I was wondering if you had any idea what the weather is meant to be like over the next two week as I have no idea what to pack and if I will need to take a raincoat to the parks with me?

    Hi, Rachael!

Not to worry! What to pack is a huge part of any trip to Walt Disney World.

I always consult weather.com prior to leaving for WDW, just to see what the predicted forecast will be during our stay. As of right now, the next 10 days in Orlando could have a high temperature as high as 93 and a low of 73, with scattered thunderstorms on several days.

This time of year, we pack shorts and T-shirts / tanks for hot days, but also capris / thin long pants for cooler evenings. Everyone always has at least one long-sleeve sweatshirt, too, for possibly cooler mornings and evenings. We each bring a baseball hat, too, so that the rain won't bother us as we continue to tour the parks during a downpour, and we pick up a new poncho should we need one while in the parks as well. These rain ponchos are very durable, reasonably priced and can be purchased at many locations throughout the parks and resorts when the clouds begin to roll in.

Think of a warm summer day, and that's what you should pack for; cooler hours in the mornings and evenings are always a possibility (especially when in the cool air conditioned restaurants) so bring a layer or two for each person's top and bottom and you'll be sure to be prepared nicely.

Have a wonderful trip! Send more questions as you think of them, too! You know we love to help!
