Hi Moms. Thanks for all your information and enthusiasm! Is Liberty Tavern lunch family style/buffet or not?

Thanks for coming to visit us at the Mom's Panel, and we so appreciate your kind words. We all love helping fellow guests get the most out of their vacations to Disney.

The Magic Kingdom's Liberty Tavern serves a family-style dinner and an a la carte lunch. Made to feel like you've been transported back to Colonial Times, you'll find a homey, tavern-feel about the place including the period-dressed wait staff. Although the Disney website categorizes it under "Buffet/Family-style," there is no buffet, just a family-style "Thanksgiving Dinner" that is all-you-can-eat. You'll receive your entree and side dishes in serving bowls and platters to pass and take what you'd like.

Our meal there with a family reunion of 19 brings back good memories as it was a respite from the parks that brought us together to enjoy each other's company. There's something about passing the mashed potatoes that gets everyone talking and laughing...

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
