Thanks for info. Regarding tra m i can walk just using the chair for around the park. U said its not handicapped accessible BUT if i can walk and the chair folds up,can we ride us if there is enough room & we arent taking away space from others?

    Hey Sherri,

Please do not ever feel like you'd be taking away space from others - WDW is for everyone to enjoy to the fullest extent that any physical limitations and safety regulations allow.  I do understand your feelings on that though - I feel the same way when traveling with my son and try to be as flexible as I can and considerate to everyone.

If you can transfer, you are more than welcome to ride the trams. You will have to fold the wheelchair.  In each section of the tram, there are 2 rows that face each other. If you sit in one of these areas, it will offer you a little more room to put your wheelchair.  This is a great place for those traveling with strollers as those must be folded before boarding as well.

One thing to keep in mind is that the trams do not typically stop in designated handicapped parking areas.  These areas are located closest to the entrances of the parks and the Ticket & Transportation Center for that purpose.

If you decide to leave your wheelchair at your resort and rent at the parks, there are limited courtesy wheelchairs available in the handicapped parking areas to assist guests get to the entrance of the parks. These wheelchairs may only be used for that purpose and aren't allowed for use inside the parks.

Please feel free to visit with more questions. It is my pleasure to assist you in planning your exciting trip!  Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
