Thanks for info re: FW cabins! W/current promos, the FW cabin & Port Orleans RS is about the same price. We're weighing space & cooking own meals at FW vs. PO and getting meal plan. Which would provide most fun for and least stress 4 us & ki

    Hi Allison,

Thanks for writing back!  This is a tough call.  Both Fort Wilderness and Port Orleans are wonderful resorts to call home during your Disney Vacation.  I have a solo trip planned to Port Orleans in a few weeks, and can't wait!  The extra space at Fort Wilderness is wonderful, and generally very much appreciated by most families.  However, being able to enjoy some of Disney's fantastic restaurants, and include some character dining, signature dining and or/special experiences into your family's itinerary will add a wonderful element to your trip.  In addition, allowing mom (or whomever does the cooking for your family) a few days off, is an added bonus!  If your choice is between preparing all of your meals at the cabin (assuming you stay at the Fort) versus opting for a bit less space and being able to take in some of Disney's restaurants, I'd vote for staying at Port Orleans.  I'm guessing you will spend relatively little time in your room, so sharing space for a few days isn't a big deal!

Whichever you decide, have a wonderful vacation!
