Hello, Thanks to your helpful tips, I learned about the water taxis from MK to Fort Wilderness. Is there a water taxi running between the Wilderness Resort and Fort Wilderness? We are planning to resort hop, would be fun to make it feel like an expedition

    Hi Michelle!

Welcome back to planDisney!  I'm so happy that you've found the tips from my fellow panelists helpful!  Can you believe your vacation is just a few weeks away?  All of that planning is about to pay off with what I hope will be a trip full of magical memories!

Michelle, I have to say that I find boating to and from my destinations around Seven Seas Lagoon so wonderfully relaxing.  You'll be happy to know that watercraft transportation is available between Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. . .as well as Disney's Contemporary Resort.  This route is known as the "Blue Route" and is scheduled to operate daily (weather permitting) from 3:00 PM through 10:45 PM.  You'll also find boat transportation from both Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge back to Magic Kingdom Park if you need to return there to catch a bus back to your resort.

I love that you are planning to spend some time resort hopping between these two fabulous properties!  Fort Wilderness is home to so many wonderful activities - you can easily spend several hours exploring the resort.  If I can offer a suggestion, I'd recommend grabbing lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe over at Wilderness Lodge before heading to Fort Wilderness.  This restaurant is full of tasty Western skillets, but also serves up loads of laughs with an entertaining group of Cast Members that likes to joke around!  Once the boat launch opens at 3:00 PM, you can set sail for a leisurely ride around Seven Seas Lagoon before landing at Fort Wilderness.  You should have a few hours to enjoy exploring Tri-Circle-D Ranch and the variety of recreational activities offered before visiting Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long.  I'd also recommend checking what time the fireworks are scheduled at Magic Kingdom Park as you can even catch a view of those from the beach at Fort Wilderness!

Michelle, I hope that you enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!  If you want to learn more about transportation options available during your stay, you may want to check out one of our planDisney Podcast episodes from earlier this year for additional tips and tricks!  Remember Michelle, you've got a friend in me here at planDisney, so please stop by with any other questions you have in the future!

    See ya real soon!
