Thanks for all your help! Am planning 1st tri. Staying in FW Cabins. We have ADR breakfast res. at Chef Mickey's in Contemporary. Does the boat go directly from FW to CR? If so, is that the fastest way? How much time should I plan for travel?

    Cynthia:

Yes, there is a boat that goes directly from the pier near the Settlement at Fort Wilderness to the Contemporary.  It's the line on the right of the pier vs. the left that goes to the Magic Kingdom.  The signage is good and it is indeed the fastest way to get there.

The boat trip is about 15 minutes or so, but sometimes you may need to wait at the pier for the boat, and that can be up to 15 minutes, too.  Give yourself a good 45 minutes to an hour from the time you leave your cabin to get on the internal Settlement Bus to the pier and then the pier to the Contemporary and you'll be fine!  If everything works like clockwork and you arrive for breakfast early, you can take a look around the Contemporary and scout out your next trip!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
