thanks for all the help with planning our one and only trip to Disneyworld. If we want to attend the opening ceremony in MK and normal hours are from 9am but it has EMH from 8am that day, what time will the opening ceremony be? Thank you

Hi, Hazel! I may be almost as excited about your "one and only trip" to WDW as you are.  Along with a few other panelists, I have helped you plan a few of your details, and you ask such good questions...especially for a first-time guest!

The "rope drops" or opening ceremonies at each of the four theme parks happen each morning at approximately 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled park openings, and if there are morning Extra Magic Hours, there is an opening ceremony (around 7:50 a.m.) albeit brief. However, I'm not completely sure if they have two opening ceremonies on the mornings of EMHs -- one for resort guests, one for other guests later. (Hmmm...that might be a great research question!)

Congratulations again on a well-thought-out trip and some great plans! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
