Thanks for all your help! October early or December?? Worried about hurricanes in early October???!! Please help ASAP!!! Thank you!

    Hi there, Diana!

While hurricane season runs from June 1 - November 30, it is exceedingly rare to find hurricane activity in October. Mid-September seems to be the peak of the season. There is no guarantee, of course, that October is "in the clear": Wilma was a reminder of that fact.

Bur remember, too, that the Orlando area is relatively immune from the major damaging parts of storms. In fact, only three storms have managed to cause any significant impact to the area: San Felipe-Okeechobee Hurricane (September 1928), Donna (September 1960), and Charley (August 2004).

But if you have concerns, book your trip for early December. The weather, frankly, is somewhat nicer; temperatures are dropping and humidity tends to be lower. You'll also be in time to see the start of the holiday season at Walt Disney World, which is pretty incredible.

Whichever route you take - Halloween or holidays -, you will be assured of a fantastic time!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
