Hi moms! Thanks for your help! How much money should we plan on for 2 adults? We are planning on bringing snacks, and refillable water bottles. We will only be eating at 1 table service on our trip. Leaving for Disney in 89 days!

Hi there Samantha! Wow! Your countdown to Disney is less than 3 months away now! How exciting!

Since the total amount of money you'll need for food each day of your Walt Disney World vacation really depends on your eating habits, menu item choices and how far you can stretch those snacks from home, I'm going to share some ideas for creative cost savings instead of guessing at an exact dollar amount for 2 adults.

    1. Consider sharing quick-service meals. The portion sizes on certain menu items can easily feed two! For suggestions on how to work this idea to your advantage visit the unofficial website: www.mousesavers.com and then, type in 'Meal Portions' in the search box at the top left hand corner of the main page.

    2. Carry snacks and water bottles into the theme parks with you. You'll have to spend a little extra time packing up before heading out in the mornings however, this will result in more money in your pocket at the end of the day.

    3. Research meal prices in advance, prior to leaving home and then choose to search out those locations that will offer you the most bang for your buck. The unofficial website www.allears.net lists menus under the Dining section of the site and even includes reader reviews and recommendations.

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions my way in the days leading up to your July trip!
