Hi "Moms"! Thanks for your help so far! I have a question about getting to Disney-we're considering taking the Auto Train with our twin toddlers. Has anyone else used the auto-train and have an experience to share? Thanks for all your great adv

    Hi Margaret,

Your question triggers such good memories for me!  I rode the Auto Train as a child.  I was about eight years old at the time and my sister was five.  We loved the experience.  As you know, taking the train is not the speediest way to reach Florida, but as a child who had never ridden a train before this, it was very exciting.  We enjoyed playing games as we watched the scenery go by.  When it was time for a meal we ambled on down to the dining cars.  We met some cool folks on the train too.  From a financial point of view, my parents appreciated having their own car with them once we reached Florida.  No rental car fees for them.

The only potential downside of this transportation option is that passengers, if they are unaccustomed to sleeping on a moving train, may not get the best night's sleep.  Do your twins sleep well in the car?  If so, they'd probably do fine on the train at night.  Otherwise, you might want to consider flying.

Let us know if you have any additional questions with which we can help you.  Have fun as you plan your exciting Disney adventure.
