    Hi Andrea!
    Recommending food, to me, is always tricky, because people's tastes are so subjective, and you may dislike someplace that I love. Having said that, I would go Hollywood Brown Derby all the way. I love that place! I just think the atmosphere and food are much better, but also a bit more expensive.
    Don't get me wrong, I really like Mama Melrose's even though many people told me they didn't care for it (see, there's that subjective thing again). I thought the food, at least what I ordered, was very good.
    I guess the final call will/should be whatever you and your daughter are in the mood for (Italian versus California/American). Even so, I would hit the Brown Derby!
