Hi, there!
Welcome back to planDisney, Hilary. I'm so glad you've stopped by again! It's my pleasure to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Let's go!
Depending on the panelist you ask, you may get a different answer to this question. I've thought and thought about it, and I've come to the conclusion that if it were
my family, we would plan to start the day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and then Park Hop to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park typically closes quite a bit earlier than Disney's Hollywood Studios, so planning your visit in this order will better maximize your day.
When you arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, head straight for
Kilimanjaro Safaris. This guided tour of an African savanna is a must-do for my family! Then, catch a performance of
Festival of The Lion King. The theater for this incredible show is just around the corner from Kilimanjaro Safaris, so it's super convenient. From there, take some time to explore
Pandora - The World of Avatar or stroll through the
Maharajah Jungle Trek. Grab lunch and then take a break by watching
Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond! Time off your feet in a nice, cool theater should recharge everyone's batteries so you're ready to Park Hop to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
If your kiddos are big fans of Disney Junior, you'll want to visit Animation Courtyard right away when you first get to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The
Character meet and greets there and the
Disney Junior Play and Dance! show are only available through late afternoon, and you won't want to miss them. After you've seen your favorite Disney Junior Characters, hop aboard
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. My family absolutely loves this new attraction! If your kids are anything like my daughter, you'll want to then see
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. The Royal Historians of Arendelle are a hoot, and just make the show
snow much fun! Plan to spend the rest of the evening in
Toy Story Land. Playing in Andy's backyard is always magical, but exceptionally so at night with all the lights he's strung up.
I hope this was helpful, Hilary. As always, please let me know if you have any more questions!
