Thanks for your great suggestions, Faith - you & the DisneyMoms are awesome! If we arrive Friday (and do Expo+Pasta Party Fri), what do you recommend for a Sat schedule before the Sun Princess 1/2? Visit a park? More leisurely schedule? Thanks and no r

    Hi, Emily!

I'm happy to hear you liked my previous suggestions! And thank you for the compliment, we love hearing nice things from our guests. :)

For Friday, the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo coupled with the Pasta in the Park Party is the perfect plan! Especially since your pasta ticket gains you entry into Epcot® at 6:00pm - that makes it a double value in my book. Here is another tip for the Pasta Party: I wouldn't arrive until about 7:15pm, let the line to get in die down first. And when you enter, go all the way to the other side of the building, there is another buffet station and grouping of tables. Guests like to stop at the first set of tables they see, I advise going straight for the other side ;)

As far as Saturday, you're in Disney World! Go play! Of course I recommend pulling back a little bit, but there is no reason to avoid the parks. And don't sleep in on Saturday or it will make getting up at 2:45am on Sunday really hard! Get up early, wear comfortable shoes, grab a bottle of water and hit the theme park offering Morning Extra Magic Hour. My biggest piece of advice for a pre-race park day is to stay hydrated, enjoy the shows, parades and attractions that will keep you off your feet longer, and to call it an early night. Otherwise, go have fun. Burning off the nervous energy will keep your mind off the race.

Don't forget to keep moving on Sunday, too! There is a free event in Downtown Disney for runners and their guests you might enjoy, the Happily Ever After Party, and don't forget to wear your medal.

Keep the questions coming, Emily! I'm here to help you have the most magical runDisney-cation ever.
