Hello again Kirstie!
So nice to hear back from you!
I highly recommend
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! You'll find costumed kids of all ages (even grown ups get into the Halloween spirit) having a great time at this specially ticketed event. A great way to combine your fun is to plan a visit to The Pirates League on the same day that you're attending MNSSHP in the evening! That way, your girls will already be dressed up ready for the party and trick-or-treating!
My family experienced the party for the first time last year
(twice!) and we really loved it. My kids especially enjoyed the trick-or-treating trails around Magic Kingdom. The 'Boo To You' parade is now my favourite parade in all of Walt Disney World! The music is so catchy and it's just so much fun!
Spoiler alert: The Parade begins with the 'Headless Horseman' riding in on his horse - so you may want to prepare the girls for that ahead of time so as not to scare them. The rest of the parade has its share of regular, happy characters as well as some of the 'darker' more villainous characters, but nothing is too terribly scary. It's a fun, family atmosphere throughout the evening and the HalloWishes fireworks are really quite something to behold as well!
Ticket sales for this special event, occurring select evenings from 7pm-midnight, have not yet begun but should become available in the very near future. Check the Walt Disney World website, the
Disney Parks Blog, or right back here at the Moms Panel for updated information!
I hope to hear from you again soon Kirstie!
Wishing you a Magical time as you make plans for your fall visit to Walt Disney World!
Kirsten
