Hi Moms! Thanks for a great panel! I made a reservation for the Wilderness Lodge in November (woods view). Do I need to request a bunk bed room in advance if I want one? Does it cost extra? Can I request a Magic Kingdom view? Jean, NJ

    Hi Jean!

The Moms appreciate your thoughtful comments!

Your woods view room will need to face towards the left of the resort in order to possibly have a glimpse of the Magic Kingdom and/or fireworks. Due to the beautiful trees, getting a glimpse of the castle is only from some of the rooms on the upper floor. Or you could ask to be the Flag family of the day. Then you'll be treated to a view that is extraordinary. Ask at the front desk!

So, if you are looking towards the rear of the resort where the pool is located, you will need a room on the left side facing the woods. You will also need an upper floor.

We have stayed twice with a courtyard view with a room to the right of the pool but facing into the courtyard. Both times we were able to see the fireworks from our balcony. My son when he was 2, did not like the noise so he watched from the safety of his bed and then the "boom booms" weren't so scary!

For a bunk bed room, you will need to reserve one in advance. And they do cost a bit more. For a woods view room with bunk beds, it's approximately $15 more per night, however prices are subject to change so please verify when you call.

You can request a Magic Kingdom view. Have it noted on your reservation prior to your arrival. I hope you have a wonderful time at the Wilderness Lodge. It's truly a special place!
