Hi Lynne,
I will tell you, as the daughter of an American History teacher, I have always loved the Hall of Presidents. However, after taking my kids this past summer, my then 6 year old daughter and 2 year old son were pretty antsy and bored, whereas, my 9 year old son loved it. He had recently done a report and presentation in school where he researched George Washington and then portrayed him for a program. So, a lot of this attraction was content that he has either heard about or studied at school. My daughter did recognize some of the presidents and remembered things about the civil war.
There are some scenes depicted in artwork shown on the screen as the narrative played, but nothing that I thought was too intense for their viewing, however, this is completely my opinion. It is also a 20 minute show, so you may need to consider your children's ages and attention span. If they are really interested in the presidents, though, I think the Hall of Presidents would be a fantastic attraction. Plus, they may learn something new (and that is always a bonus, especially on vacation)! This is also a great way to take a break from the walking in the parks and rest your feet in air-conditioning.
The American Adventure in Epcot is yet another great show about the history of our country and my younger daughter enjoyed this one much more. So, if you think the Hall of Presidents might be too mature for your kids, this could be a nice alternative. Be sure to check out the
Voices of Liberty either before or after the show, too, if possible. All three of my kids enjoyed this a capella group dressed in period costumes and singing American classics such as "America the Beautiful" and "This Land is Your Land".
Have a wonderful trip.
