Thanks for the Great MSEP advice! 1 more ? - staying @CSR, will head to MK for 7:00 MSEP on 12/1 - have res @ Narcoossee @ 9:10 for BDAY dinner. What is best way to get to GF from MK with mom in scooter - Monorail or Water Taxi and how much time to allow?

    Hi Wendy,

You're so very welcome! This is great fun!

I've been doing some research & here's what I'd do - MSEP begins in front of the Harmony Barber Shop, goes to the right in front of the Train Station & heads down Main Street towards the Castle. I would try to get to MK early enough to get a place near the beginning of the parade route.

Not sure if you're staying for Wishes at 8 p.m. that evening or not. I wouldn't risk it. If possible, go back another evening to see it - I'm afraid you'd get caught in a log jam of guests trying to get out since MK closes at 8 p.m. following the fireworks. So as soon as MSEP is over, head out.

The Gold Launch boats will take you to the GF. I spoke with Disney Transportation who told me these boats can accommodate ECVs depending on the water level - it is the Captain's discretion. If its too low, you'll need to travel by monorail (fortunately the Resort Monorail Line is very near the dock at the MK). The sail time (once everyone is on board) is pretty quick - ~ 10 minutes. You may be able to watch Wishes at the dock at the GF before your reservations. Narcoossee's is super close to the dock. The Monorail may be a little easier to maneuver the ECV to board. The trip by monorail is ~ 15 minutes.

If you're planning to see Wishes another night, you may want to take the Monorail & go through the GF lobby. Its spectacular! Between the hours of 3 p.m & 9:45 p.m., the piano player & orchestra alternate performing for guests.

An added bonus of going through the lobby is that the giant Gingerbread House they build for the holidays will be open for business Nov 15th - Dec 31st. Its really cool. Click here for more details. Wishing you many wonderful BD memories :-) Allison
