Hi! Thanks for all the great information! We will have the trip paid for before we arrive, room, dining plan, memory maker, passes. My question is besides tips at table serve (we are a party of 6) & souvenirs what else would we might need extra money

Hey Tiffany! It is so great to hear from you again!

As a mom who is always traveling with a strict budget, we are always looking to keep our costs low. We usually take advantage of the Magic Your Way packages and the Disney Dining Plan. One of the things that I love most about traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort is that once you book and pay for your reservation you really don’t have to worry about having much extra money on hand.

As a party of six it is important to keep in mind that any time you dine at a Table-Service restaurant they will automatically add on an 18% gratuity charge to your bill that you will be responsible for.

We always factor in an extra Quick-Service meal per day per person in our party. If you are on the Disney Dining Plan you will get one Snack, one Quick-Service meal, and one Table-Service meal per person, per night of your package stay. If you are like my family we eat three meals a day. Therefore we usually plan to spend extra money on breakfast since that seems to typically be the least expensive meal to pay for out of pocket.

We always keep some extra cash on hand for those that give exceptional service such as Bellhops, Disney’s Magical Express bus drivers, and those that help us with Resort Airline Check-In.

Lastly I make sure that my kids know that they have a budget while on vacation. We usually set aside some money for them for souvenirs (no more than $50 per kid.) Not only does this teach them responsibility, but I have also noticed that they choose what they want with greater care than if they had an endless amount of money to spend!

I hope that you have an unforgettable vacation!
