Hi, Lynne!
What a great time to head to Walt Disney World!
My family spent Easter Week at WDW this year and we really enjoyed all of the extra activities throughout our stay. For a peek into what may be in store for you next Easter, take a look at this post on
Disney Parks Blog and Celebrating Easter. The Easter Bunny makes a special appearance and there are Easter Egg hunts, too. Special decor and merchandise makes everything extra-springy magical, too. Be sure to hop (yeah, I went there) on over to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to see jaw-droppingly gorgeous, chocolate hand decorated eggs. (Great pics of these can be found at allears.net; enter "chocolate eggs" into the search bar for posts.)
With Easter 2014 set for Sunday, April 20th, you'll likely see slightly smaller crowds if you spend the days after Easter than the week before. Check out the unofficial crowd-predicting site touringplans.com for their holiday crowd predictions for 2014.
Another great perk to consider is the
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, which takes place each spring in Epcot. Combine special activities, dining opportunities and live music with the Easter activities as well, and you've got one very special family vacation! (I love this festival so much that I specifically scheduled my family's trip over Easter Break, just so they could experience the even more magical beauty of Epcot's gorgeous flower displays.
Send more questions as you think of them, Lynne; I'd love to help!
