Thanks for all the great advice! We are visiting for the 1st time 4/22-4/29. What is the best way to take my camcorder and camera on rides? I thought someone said there is something to put my backpack on in the ride itself? Thanks!!!

    Hi Dawn,

I travel with my standard size (yet stuffed!) backpack on all of my trips to Walt Disney World.  I have never had a problem carrying it with me on any of the rides (apart from it potentially getting wet on a few...which has not happened yet, but is my fear since I do carry my camcorder and camera inside all of the time!).  Some of the attractions do have nets for you to place your backpack in or other items such as jackets, rain poncho's etc..., although this does not work for mine as it is stuffed too full and will not fit (apart from on "Soarin", this attraction does have a net large enough to fit even my backpack!).  In my case I have been able to keep it down by my feet and hold onto it tightly if it is a wilder attraction (i.e. "Thunder Mountain" or "Space Mountain") or just place it by my feet if it is milder (i.e. "Pirates of the Caribbean" or "The Jungle Cruise").  You shouldn't have a problem, especially if it is a smaller one that can be put into the net.  Remember to go to any Guest Services at any of the parks, Disney World Resorts or Downtown Disney to get a complimentary button that say's "It's My First Trip to WDW" and wear it for some special attention you may receive from Cast Members during your vacation.  Have a magical trip and take many snapshot memories!

    Best wishes,
