Hi, Jamie!
Wow! A birthday in the middle of a family trip to Walt Disney World surely is a magical moment, and finding just the right touch for your older son to know he's special, too, is a great plan!
For your DS's bday, plan the whole day around his favorites. Plan a day in the park that has the most of his favorites; book a dining location or two that cater to his extra-special favorite food or characters. Send me another question including his favorites and I'll put together a list of what to see for a day-long birthday adventure! Don't forget to get some great ideas for
Customizing Your Special Occasion, such as a Celebration Recognition Button, having a cake delivered to your restaurant of choice and even a special photo, too.
For your older son, if he's a Star Wars fan, you'll be there during Star Wars Weekends, which traditionally take place in May. Head to one of my favorite unofficial sites, allears.net, for more information about this great event that happens in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Once on the site, enter "star wars weekend" into the search bar for lots of information about this event. If your son is not a Star Wars fan, consider a day at
DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park. My 11-year old son just loves it there, and it certainly a treat for us to spend the day at a venue we never get to otherwise.
Send me a question with their favorites included, Jamie, and I'll list a day for each they're sure to remember! :-)
