Thanks for feed back about the PS dinner. I made reservations at the BBB for dd7, dd14, and dw37. My wife is worried that she will look silly being the oldest one there? Can you help a confused husband? How long will the Crown treatment take?

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique accepts guests from age 3 on up. I have seen plenty of teens, a couple of moms, and even a few grandmas getting the royal treatment at the BBB. However, given that, I will tell you that the vast majority of the BBB clients are girls from ages 3 to 10. The Crown treatment takes about half an hour per customer.

Will your wife look "silly" with a costumed Fairy Godmother in Training combing her hair, applying blue eyeshadow, putting on a tiara, and sprinkling colored pixie dust everywhere? Silly is certainly in the eye of the beholder, but, um, yes. Does it matter? Who cares? And isn't that what a trip to WDW is all about?

If your wife wants to live out her inner princesses, then she should rock that tiara. Disney Mom Laura wears her tiara non-stop at WDW. I myself am a big fan of character meals. I gotta get those Mickey hugs on every trip. Did I look silly that time I was dining by myself at the Cape May Cafe and decided I needed to do a tango in the dining room with Goofy? Well, probably, but I had a great time (and I found out that for such a big guy, Goofy's pretty light on his feet). WDW is a place to let go of adult conventions and have the same fun you had when you were a kid.

All this being said, the BBB is really just amped-up dress-up. If you're in the mood to play along, fabulous. (And I am sure your daughters would LOVE seeing Mom with a Cinderella "do.") But sometimes a woman does need something more refined. If that's the case, your wife might be better served by some actual spa treatments. Several of the resorts, notably the Grand Floridian and Saratoga Springs, have fabulous spas where guests can have real massages, facials, hair styling, and mani-pedis. If you sent your wife for some R&R to one of the spas for a few hours, she might not look like Cinderella at the ball when it was over, but you would most surely look like Prince Charming to her.

Hope this helps with your decision.
