Hello, Clint!
Dinner at 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort sounds wonderful! You will truly enjoy it!
As far as getting back to to Port Orleans-French Quarter after dinner, most modes of transportation in Walt Disney World operate up to one hour after Disney Theme Park closing time. As such, you may finish your meal in time to hop onto the monorail and ride to the Transportation and Ticket Center. If you are able to walk a short distance, many Guests choose simply to walk from Disney's Polynesian Resort to the TTC. Because Epcot is open until 9 p.m. that night, you'll be able to take a bus from TTC back to POFQ. Another option would be for you to go to Disney's Polynesian Resort's bus stop, where you can hop onto a bus to Downtown Disney, since DD buses run until 2 a.m. Once at DD, you can either take a bus or a boat (depending on the time of your arrival) back to your home resort.
Regarding your Fantasmic! Dining Experience, IF you are dining at
Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano ON the Fantasmic! Dining Experience, AND are using your Dining Plan to "pay" for your meal, Guests are also entitled to an
appetizer, in addition to their usual non-alcoholic beverage, entree and dessert. We've experienced this treat as recently as October and have done so for several years now. Of course, this is subject to change at any time, but if there is even the slightest possibility that we'll be able to order the delectable Fresh Mozzarella and Vine-ripened Tomatoes with Marinated Sweet Onions, Balsamic Drizzle, Basil-scented Olive Oil and Sweet Basil Leaves at no additional charge to us, even though we are on the "regular" Dining Plan, then this family of four will be there! YUM!
Send more questions as you think of them; I'd be happy to help!
