Hi, Michelle!
Thank you so much for clarifying which race you will be completing! The marathon will definitely offer even more spectator opportunities, and Animal Kingdom is one of them.
If you'll notice on the
course map for the marathon, you will exit from the side of Animal Kingdom Theme Park shortly after crossing the 13.1 mile timing mat, you'll then cross near the front of the park and continue on through sections of the parking lot - spectators love to line-up along this section of the course. Just remind your family/friends to allow extra time for travel as Osceola Parkway will be down to one lane for vehicle traffic.
Another great option is Champion Stadium at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. At this location, spectators are able to watch from the stands as runners navigate the warning track of the stadium at about mile 19.5. In addition to being able to sit while waiting for that glimpse of their favorite runner, spectators will have access to the Complex restrooms. And with an elevated view, it might be easier to spot and watch you run the entire track.
I also suggest signing up for Runner Tracking. This is a free service that will allow your fans to track you on the course by sending your splits times directly to their smart phones.
I hope this helpful in making your race morning plans for your chEAR Squad, Michelle! If you should have any further questions please send them my way. I am here to help!
Happy running!
Faith
