Thanks Diane for your input. We have never seen the holiday decorations and would like to see them. Do the decorations go up on Thanksgiving day? If we want to wrap the vaca. around thksgving., would you go the days before or the days after thanksgiv?

Hello again, Wendy!  Actually the elves will start to decorate beginning in early November.  In fact, for guests who are vacationing in early November, do stop by the Grand Floridian lobby and watch them put the Gingerbread House together...you might even be able to sample some of the gingerbread!  By the time Thanksgiving arrives, the majority of the decorations will be on display (although the elves will continue decorating through early December).

In terms of crowds, if I had to choose between before or after Thanksgiving, I would choose before.  However, if I were to choose in terms of the total experience, I would probably stay before and after Thanksgiving.  I would concentrate on more of the park attractions before Thanksgiving and the holiday atmosphere after.  Diane
