Thanks so much Darcie! I can't wait to try lunch at Kona:) Would love to hear your opinion on Crystal Palace (lunch or dinner?) and Chef Mickeys ( dinner on arriving day or breakfast on departing day?) Any recommendations? Thank you again!

Awesome to hear back from you, Jessica!  Hopefully you'll still like me after I give you my honest opinion of Crystal Palace.  That is: run the other way.  Sounds harsh, right?  I know.  I just can't--in good faith--direct you to Crystal Palace.  My family had such a horrible experience there.  We went for dinner, fully expecting to have as magical an experience as any other Disney lover.  What we experienced was far from magical.  The food was truly awful.  The buffet area was a mess, with food splattered across the serving area.  There were slim-pickings when it came to buffet offerings as well.  I will not return there and I can't recommend that you try it, either.  Alternately, you might consider lunch or dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern; we've enjoyed both there.  I would make my choice between the two meals based on whether the a la carte lunch menu or family-style (think Thanksgiving) dinner menu appeals more to your taste buds.  We've also had great meals (both lunch and dinner) at The Wave, located within convenient walking distance of the Magic Kingdom at The Contemporary Resort.

Chef Mickey's is a safe choice.  If it were me, I'd probably opt for breakfast on departing day because it would be a magical Disney send-off for your family.  I hope my honesty serves you well as you plan a fabulous vacation!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
