Thanks Bernie! I'm now debating on tickets to MVMCP, is it worth the extra cost, in your opinion? I know it must be magical, but we could use the xtra $ for other things. However, if it is something we really shouldn't miss, I may consider it. I'm torn!

    Hi Shelley!

Thank you for sending me this question directly.  I really appreciate it!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a lot of fun and I generally recommend that everybody try it at least once.  However, it is relatively expensive.  The party runs from 7 pm until midnight.  There's a special parade and a special fireworks show.  I really think you need to stay in the Magic Kingdom until at least 10 pm to get a lot of value out of the party.  Unfortunately, a lot of other guests also leave at about that time so it might take a little bit longer than normal to get back to your Disney owned and operated hotel.

If you have young children and can't stay that late, then I suggest not going to the party.  If you can stay late, and especially if you can stay until the Magic Kingdom closes, then I do recommend going.  However, I will say that if one can only do one special event each year then I would recommend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  I really much prefer the Halloween Party, especially with its trick or treating.

I hope this helps!  Good luck with your decision, and please write back with more questions!
