Hello, Diane!
So glad you're back with more questions! :-)
Walt Disney World resort pools are open year-round, heated beautifully, and are a great place to relax for an hour or a day. With the average October high at 84 degrees, and the average low at 66, you can easily enjoy pool time, no matter what the temperature elsewhere.
You'll love Coronado Springs Resort; the Mayan-ruin themed pool is spectacular, and the food options at Pepper Market are among my family's favorites.
That being said, I used Walt Disney World's online reservation system and found availability for a Saturday to Wednesday stay in October at some Value Resorts (various weeks), as well as Moderate Resorts, with the price difference coming in around $300-$400, all of which being Magic Your Way Packages. Go onto
Walt Disney World's website and put your specific information into "Price Your Vacation" on the left side of the homepage. Perhaps there is something available at a Value resort, which would then enable you to add on the Dining Plan. If you're planning on eating at the park and resort restaurants, the Dining Plan really is a great way to save money while enjoying great food. Check out the various
Dining Plans that can be added to your reservation up to 3 days in advance of check in, for more information.
Please send your additional questions my way! I'd love to help ensure that your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is the perfect fit for you and your family!
