Thanks for answering my question. I am between the Wilderness Lodge and Boardwalk, but am leaning more towards the Wilderness Lodge. We are spoiled by Pop Century not sharing a bus, is this the only resort that doesn't share a bus? Thanks so much

You're welcome, Kory.  Thanks for following up with me; it's nice to hear "more of the story".  I wish more guests would write back with follow-up questions!

I really think the Wilderness Lodge in December would be a great choice.  It's probably the choice I would make.  That said, I understand your concerns with the bus.  Unfortunately, I can't give a definitive answer on the bus situation, because routes change frequently.  It is my understanding, though, that the Wilderness Lodge has--in the past--shared busing routes with either the Grand Floridian or the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.  Do keep in mind that you can take the ferry to Magic Kingdom, so you'd really only have to ride the bus to three parks (and Downtown Disney, etc).  My family relied solely on bus transportation (from Shades of Green/Polynesian) last December during our trip and it wasn't bad. I think a holiday stay at the Wilderness Lodge would make it worthwhile.  Enjoy!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
