Hi, Anne!
Thank you for the follow-up! It definitely helps!
Your husband can take the provided Race Transportation Bus from Disney's Pop Century Resort to Epcot® to watch you finish. However, the buses stop running at 5:00am and will not resume until 7:30am. If your husband plans on waiting until then, I definitely suggest he head to the race transportation bus stop at 7:00am so he can be on the first bus to Epcot®. From the drop-off, he will have about a 8-10 minute walk to get around the Family Reunion Area and over by the finish line. This plan should work, but he may need to wiggle his way in to get a spot where he can actually see you. Also, the Grandstand seating at the finish line is reserved for ChEAR Squad purchasers, so tell him he'll need to walk up a little bit and find a spot along the fence. It will also be helpful if you run on the left side of the course as you pass the mile 13 mile marker (there will be no spectators on the right side).
Additionally, I suggest having your husband sign up for runner tracking. This tool is free and will help him to know where you are on the course. He will get a text message when you start the race, as well as messages when you cross the timing mats at the 5K, 10K, and 15K marks. Your estimated finish time will also be included, helping him to know when to start keeping his eyes peeled. Runner Tracking will be available on the runDisney website about a week before the race. Just select the SPECTATORS Tab on the
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend homepage - then select Runner Tracking.
I hope this is helpful in planning your race morning, Anne! If anymore last minute questions come up, you know I am here to help.
Have a magical race!
Faith
