Thanks for your answer regarding Garden Grill w/o kids. I'm worried now that on our "date night" we will want to decide then where to eat, instead of deciding 180 days out. What are our options for nice dining (american) w/o ADR? Any park or re

    Hi Kelsey!

I understand how things may change, especially when you're looking for a romantic evening. Any table service you may be interested in, though, I would highly encourage setting reservations. There have been times when I've asked to be seated without reservations, and was accommodated immediately, others where I've had to wait, and some where they said they were too booked to accommodate. So there's always some risk when not making reservations in advance.

Here are some good American-style restaurants, categorized by table service and quick service:

    Table Service Restaurants

50's Prime Time Cafe at Hollywood Studios-good food, great service, but watch your manners! Your host will make sure you're adopting proper table etiquette. If you're looking to laugh on date night, try this...

California Grill at Contemporary-one of the top locales for hopeless romantics! :-) Food is great, and the view is fantastic (overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon and Cinderella's Castle). But it's a signature restaurant, which is a little more expensive than the average restaurant.

Cape May Cafe at Beach Club-great seafood and a buffet to boot!

    Quick Service
Backlot Express at Hollywood-Backlot has this ridiculously huge, mouth-watering onion straw bacon cheeseburger. Good if you're into that..

Casey's Corner on Main Street (Magic Kingdom)-great hot dogs!

Other good locales: Cap'n Jacks at Downtown Disney, Coral Reef at Epcot (family favorite), Hollywood Brown Derby at Epcot, Les Chefs de France at Epcot, Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom, Maya Grill at Coronado (wife's favorite-good "date night" restaurant)..

So much eating, so little time. Have fun on your vacation!
