Thanks for your answer, it was very helpful. Does the Wilderness Lodge have air cond? The description just mentions ceiling fans. What temp should it be in late Sept. Is the pool heated? Are the restaurants within the lodge reasonable in cost and in taste?

    Hi Nicole!
I'm so happy that I was able to help you on your resort decision!  The Wilderness Lodge does have air conditioning along with ceiling fans.  The weather in September is still very warm and can be humid in the afternoons.  Temperatures average around 80 degrees, but can get into the 90's in the afternoon.  September is the 4th rainiest month at Disney World, so be on the look out for afternoon showers.
All of the pools at Disney's Resorts are heated so swimming can be done anytime of the year.
Wilderness Lodge has 2 Table Service restaurants on property, Whispering Canyon Cafe and Artist's Point.  Whispering Canyon Cafe' is one of my families must do meals no matter where we are staying. Expect to see horse races, adults in time out and lots of other crazy antics that make this a fun meal.  The food here is really filling and a good value with prices averaging about $20 to $ 30 per an adult, but remember a good value at Disney World will still be more expensive than restaurants off property.  You can find everything from  burgers to a never ending skillet meal so make sure to come with a big appetite and a good sense of humor.  Artists Point is a Disney Signature Restaurant so it is pricey, with meals averaging $40 to $60 per an adult.  The food here is delectable and the menu features a variety of fish and beef entrees, if you are looking for a more upscale dining experience this is a great choice.  Roaring Forks is the food court area of the resort and you can find cheaper options and standard fare of burgers and sandwiches.  Meals typically range from $8-12 per an adult and it is good for a quick bite to eat.  I hope this helps!

    Best Wishes!
