Thanks Andrea! Just found out we have to postpone our trip till next year.... How'd the weather/crowd be for second week of May (5/5-5/11)? Any concern for love bugs near BLT? We can book at 11 month mark (coming up in June) & appreciate your guidanc

    Hello again, Jessica!

Well, a postponement of a trip to Walt Disney World is difficult to swallow...but it gives you even more time for planning! PLUS, there will be so much more of the new Fantasyland Expansion open when you head to WDW in May of 2013! I'd say that your Mickey Mouse glass is half FULL! :-)

Regarding the weather in May, the average high is 89 degrees, and the average low is 65. However, those averages can vary from year to year (just look at how hot the entire East Coast got early this spring) so be aware that your trip might see different temperatures than this. Still, this will make for very pleasant evenings in the parks and at your resort, with the chance of rain far lower this time of year than in the warmer summer months. (Another perk!)

Crowd levels, according to touringplans.com, an unofficial website which predicts crowd levels at Disney World parks, rates the crowd levels as pretty favorable on the dates of your stay. With the exception of 5/5/13 (Cinco de Mayo, by the way, with MK and AK rating 9.6 and 9.0 on a crowd scale of 10), most of your other days look great, scoring in the low to mid-range. That's a great time to see WDW, to be sure!

I know that love bugs have made their appearance from time to time in Florida, but I don't think that Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort will see any more of them than any other resort at that time.

When that Disney Vacation Club Home Resort Booking Window opens up in June, JUMP on it! You'll be so pleased that you did!

Please continue to send additional questions as you think of them; now that you have so much more time to plan, the sky is the limit! I'd love to help!
