Thanks again moms panel for all your advice! Right now, we are slated to stay at the WL in a courtyard view room. Any recommendations on room #s for a quite room? Also, are certain rooms bigger than others? Is the Contemporary a better choice?

    Hi there Carolan,

When it comes to decor, Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary are at different ends of the spectrum.  Wilderness Lodge is my favorite Deluxe Resort and is very rustically elegant while the Contemporary is just that... contemporary and modern.

The big draw of the Contemporary is it's close vicinity to both the Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center.  You can easily walk to the Magic Kingdom in about 10 minutes, or you can hop aboard the Monorail from within the resort.

At Wilderness Lodge, you're only a short, relaxing boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom and I actually prefer the theming and accommodations to those of the Contemporary, especially if you have children. The standard rooms are all pretty much the same in size and for a quiet room assignment, I would probably request a room in the main building near the lobby, since these interior rooms are farthest from the pool areas which tend to be noisy.  You can call the Walt Disney Travel Company to have your request of "Inner Courtyard Room, Near Lobby" notated to you account but special requests can not be guaranteed! Wilderness Lodge is generally a pretty quiet and relaxed resort overall, so if those characteristics sound like what you're after, then I think you'll be happier there than at the Contemporary!

    Best Wishes,
