Thanks again Kay. Just found out we need to postpone our trip till next year..... Will any new QS / TS restaurants open in the new Fantasyland after the expansion? Plan to reschedule our trip for the 2nd week of May- any advise on crowd/weather? Thanks!

Hi Jessica...sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Weekend travel and no computer!

Since you will be postponing your Disney trip until next year it simply means you will have more time to plan and more will be new and open for your visit. The new Fantasyland continues to excite us all and each part that opens has been fabulous! The two new dining options planned are Be Our Guest restaurant and Gaston's Tavern. Specifics are not yet complete and have changed from time to time but right now both are scheduled to open this holiday season. That can mean anywhere from mid November through the holiday season in December.  Be Our Guest restaurant likely will be quick service during the day with table service/reservations for the evening dinner meal. We do not know when this opportunity will go on line for reservations. Gaston's Tavern will be quick service if all continues as planned. Nothing is written in stone until the opening of each but that is what I would suggest you consider when planning for the trip.

The second week of May would be a great time for a visit. The spring break crowds have departed and although you will find some school groups the parks are easy to navigate and lines are not at their longest.  Weather wise it will be warm as the summer heat starts to make its way but it is still bearable for the most part.  The rainy season also is days away and we have traveled there at this time and not seen one shower and then another time had a monsoon. But even rain never dampened our fun and just added some funny memories to our Disney book! Coming early in May should find you with mostly dry days and temps ranging from about 66-88 degrees.

As you are re-planning let me know if you have any questions!
