    Thanks for all the advise so far! I've seen the Transportation and Ticket Center mentioned a few times. What and where is it? Can this be used as a hub to travel between resorts or parks? Do you recommend it? What modes of travel go through it?

    The hub of Transportation and Ticket center is located at the Magic Kingdom parking lot and yes its a great tool to get around to a number of parks and resorts.   From this center, you can take the Express monorail to either Magic Kingdom or EPCOT.   Plus you will find monorail service to those resorts closest to Magic Kingdom like the Contemporary, Grand Floridian and Polynesian.  Alternatively, you can take the Ferryboat from here that travels directly to the main Magic Kingdom gate (my personal preference on warm sunny days!).   This Ticket center also has buses that travel to the other parks and resorts not directly connected to the monorail system.     Its really a terrific way to get around the park without the hassle of a car.
