    Thanks for the advice Cathy, we will be sticking with POFQ. Why may I ask is this your favourite resort? Any tips on room location? We are a family of 4, boys age 8 and 10.

    I am glad to hear you are sticking with your original reservation.  I think this is a great choice.  

    I have loved this resort for years.  My husband and I first stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter when it was simply known as "Port Orleans" and Riverside was called "Dixie Landings."  We had no kids and loved getting river view rooms where it was quiet and peaceful.  Now that we have 2 kids, we still love it, but now enjoy rooms near the food court and bus stops in the center of the action!

    We request buildings 3 or 4.  We find the rooms here convenient as they are super close to the food court, lobby, and parking lot.  We can be at the bus stop or at our car in just a few minutes.  Because this is the smallest of the moderate resorts (only about 1,000 rooms) you are never really to far away regardless of your room choice. 

    Another great feature is the sister resort Riverside.  Just a 10 minute stroll down the Sassagoula River, you can enjoy their pools and food court and they even have a sit-down restaurant (Boatwright's).  On select evenings, YeeHa Bob performs in their lounge for fun family entertainment.  During the day, you can do catch and release fishing at 'Ol Man Island. 

    Other great features of French Quarter include the boat ride to Downtown Disney, the nice pool area that has plenty of pool chairs, and even a pool slide for the kids.  I love in the evenings when the horse and carriage rides go though the resort, so unexpected and fun!  Also check the activities schedule for pool side activities movies under the stars.  So much to see and do, you might never want to leave the resort!
