Thanks for the advice! What car sevice do you use? I think we are going to use one since like u said we will have lots of stuff with 2 young boys. Any advice on packing for 1wk cruise, 1 wk at Grand Foridian? Boys are 2yr & 4yr. THANK YOU

    Welcome back, Patti!

Oh, you're welcome! That's what I'm here for -- making my Disney Cruise Line experiences help make yours the family vacation you're dreaming and planning for!

I don't think you'll regret paying a little more to have door-to-door service. Call my friend, Bish, at Golden Touch Limousine Service at 321-228-5990. He's a great guy and is eager to serve his clients. You might want to ask him to have some crackers, fruit, juice boxes or bottled water in the car, too. I had requested snacks since we weren't sure if we would make lunch on board. As it turns out, the airport is closer to the port than I had anticipated, and we got there in time for lunch.

As far as packing (especially for boys), many items can do "double duty." For instance, I usually have my boys wear the same khaki pants to dinner each night and switch out a collared shirt. Of course, that's trickier the younger they are. However, bring your own laundry detergent, and you can use Guest Laundry on board. (You can also purchase detergent there, but it's more expensive. Plus, if you have the liquid kind in your room, you can wash out a few things in the sink.) There's no need to bring quarters on board. The laundry services can be swiped using your stateroom key. You can send items out to be laundered, too.

Make sure you plan one night where the adults dine at Palo or Remy. Yes, it's a little extra, but it's worth it. And truly, there are very few dining experiences like these anywhere. Just make sure your big guy brings a dinner jacket or sport coat for this special evening. Although the cruise may be a little dressier than the parks, you'll basically need the same day wear. You may need to throw in a few extra collared shirts for the boys, and some dressy outfits or a little black dress for you!

I hope this helps!  Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation.

    Bon voyage!
