Thanks for the advice!! If we arrive to our resort(WL) later we will just explore until dinner. If we arrive earlier we may go into DHS for a while. What time should we leave DHS to make our 8:20 ADR. THX!

    Hi Jennifer,

What a lovely treat to have another question from you!  We typically allow "roughly" an hour for travel time to have plenty of time to wander out of a park to the bus stops to wait for a bus to travel to the next destination and to walk to the actual place, but you should be fine allowing 45 minutes, too.

The transportation bus stops outside Disney's Hollywood Studios are not too far outside the entrance of the park, and the Wilderness Lodge will be the first stop from the park -- so you most likely won't need an entire hour.  This will allow you plenty of time in case you have to wait for a bus to arrive, which is usually the biggest variable (and proof of Murphy's Law for us:  when we have plenty of time to get to a destination, a bus is waiting at the bus stop.  When we are running late and pressed for time, it seems like we have to nervously wait and wait and wait).

Enjoy your dinner and exploring the Wilderness Lodge.  If you find you have more extra time there than expected, stop by the front desk and ask for a copy of the Hidden Mickey hunt.  Several of them are in the lobby, and one is even in the Whispering Canyon Cafe.  We also love what my sons call the "secret room," which is located right above the main entrance's door.  It is a cozy nook with a fireplace that few guests visit. As you enter the Whispering Canyon Cafe, you'll see stairs behind you that lead you there.

Thanks again for the question!  --Kara
