Thanks to your advice I am adding the dining plan to our trip. I have ADRs. I was told that I will have to rebook all of the ADRs so the restaurant will know that we are on the DDP. Why? I booked one on the computer and it didn't ask about the DDP.

Hi, Mary!   No, you do NOT have to re-book your ADR's!   When you are seated at a restaurant, the first thing your server will ask is if you have the Disney Dining Plan.   You will need to present your Key to the World card (given to you at check-in) which has all your dining credits loaded onto it.

I am glad to hear you have all your Advance Dining Reservations made, and having the Dining Plan will be great!   Remember that the Dining Plan does not cover gratuities, so plan to pay for this with cash, credit, or you can charge to your Key to the World card.    Also, the Dining Plan needs to be added to your resort reservation at least 3 days prior to your arrival, so make sure to call (407)W-DISNEY to add it to your reservation.

It sounds like you have done some wonderful planning!  I hope you have a great WDW vacation.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
