Thank you! Can you buy preferred parking spots in advance or are they first come first serve?

Hello again, Faren. You are most welcome! I am excited to see that you've stopped back by with another question.

At this time, Faren, the preferred parking spots are on a first-come, first-serve basis. I will say that in all of the times I've parked, I've never seen that area completely full. I do think the Cast Members have good communication so if the preferred parking lot were to fill up, they wouldn't sell you one of those spots. Right now, the preferred parking rates are between $45 and $50 per day. I typically do not upgrade to the preferred parking spots only because I arrive pretty early in the morning and am typically only a row or two behind these spots. However, I do think it is a big benefit if you are arriving mid-morning or around lunchtime when the parking lots are full. Sometimes you can be pretty far away from the entrance of the theme parks. Remember, if you plan on leaving that theme park and coming back later in the day or park hopping, be sure to get a receipt as your parking does transfer with you and is valid all day. You are able to pay for parking with cash, credit cards or Disney Gift Cards. Be sure to have your payment method out and ready because the car line can move rather quickly.

I hope this helps, Faren. Again, if you have any other questions I'd love for you to reach back out to me and ask. I'm happy to help. Also, if you haven't already, I suggest heading over to the new planDisney Instagram account and following along. Over there you can keep up-to-date with the latest news coming out of the theme parks and follow along with panelists in the parks and maybe get a new idea for your upcoming vacation.

    Happy holidays!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
