Hey Howdy Hey, Elena, and a warm welcome back to planDisney!
Can you believe that you're just a few days away from dining in The Most Magical Place on Earth? My earliest vacations were spent almost exclusively in Walt Disney World's theme parks, but in recent years, I've learned that there's so much magic beyond Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. From
Disney Springs and Disney's BoardWalk to Disney Resort Hotels and everything in between, every acre of Walt Disney World Resort brims with the possibility of magical memories. Happily, this magic includes a variety of
complimentary transportation options.
FriendShip Boats connect Disney's Hollywood Studios to EPCOT and conveniently stop at multiple Disney Resort hotels along the way. If you're cruising from Hollywood Studios to the BoardWalk, you can expect to feel the breeze in your hair for between 20 and 30 minutes as the boat makes several stops along the way. There is no daily schedule posted, but each docking point is clearly marked with signage stating that boats depart approximately every 20 minutes daily until 1 hour after the
theme park closes for the day (weather permitting). You can typically expect boats to begin running approximately 45 minutes before the theme park opens each day.
Now, if a timely arrival at your destination is more important to you than a leisurely journey, you'll want to consider walking from Disney's Hollywood Studios to the BoardWalk as this scenic stroll is typically between five and ten minutes shorter than a cruise aboard a FriendShip Boat. Of course, my pal
Nimmy will tell you that the journey is of the utmost importance and encourage you to live the Walt Disney World boat life.
Since you'll be dining at
Trattoria al Forno, I hope you'll take some time to explore
Disney's BoardWalk. Whether you're exploring the grand lobbies of Disney's
BoardWalk Inn or Disney's
Yacht &
Beach Club Resorts, engaging in a bit of friendly competition with classic boardwalk games, or cruising on a Surrey bike, I think you'll be so glad you chose to do more than just dine. Oh, and if you're feeling extra competitive, my favorite miniature golf course,
Fantasia Gardens, is just a short walk away!
I hope this information is helpful as you plan your day, Elena. You're
almost there! If you'd like any additional information about Disney's BoardWalk or Walt Disney World Resort transportation, feel free to stop back by
planDisney. We're always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
