Hi! Thank you for this wonderful panel We are planning our 1st Disney trip in October with our soon to be 8 + 6 year old sons. Narrowed down to Beach Club resort, but would you recommemd a standard room (husand wants nice beds) or Beach Club Villas? TY!

    Hi Darlene!

The Beach Club Resort is a fabulous resort.  Stormalong Bay is the absolute best pool on Walt Disney World property; your children are going to love this sand-bottom mini-water park.  My children wanted to spend their entire vacation in the pool the last time we stayed there.

I'm not sure what type of room you are looking at in the Villas.  Between a studio in the Villas and a standard hotel room, I would go with which ever one is less expensive, unless you need the microwave oven, etc.  However, that's assuming your sons won't mind sleeping on the sofa bed in the Villas as opposed to a second bed in the standard room.

Between a 1 bedroom in the Villas and a standard hotel room, that's a hard choice.  The 1 bedroom Deluxe Villa provides a lot more space, including a full kitchen and a separate living area.  It also has a washer and dryer.  The bedroom in the Deluxe Villa can be closed off from the rest of the room.  However, your sons would still have to sleep on a sofa bed and the 1 bedroom is Deluxe Villa is generally more expensive than the standard hotel room.

The 2 bedroom unit in the Villas provides a lot of space with two separate bedrooms.  If your budget allows it, this would be a great place.

Between the Villas and the rooms in the standard hotel, I think the standard rooms are generally speaking closer to the store, arcade, Stormalong Bay, Beaches and Cream ice cream shop, front lobby, etc.  However, the units in the Villas are not that far away.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any questions.
