Thank you for your valuable panel. We are thinking about staying at two different Disney resort hotels during our stay, so we can afford a day or two at a deluxe resort. Is this a good idea? Can I make the reservations online (what about dining plans)?

    Hi Stephanie,

A "split stay" is a great way to experience more of what Walt Disney World has to offer. We prefer to start our stay out at a Value or Moderate Resort and end our vacation at the Deluxe Resort. It feels extra exciting that way, almost like an upgrade in our stay. While you can make your reservations online, I highly suggest calling to make a split stay reservation so you know everything is linked properly in the system, especially when adding the Disney Dining Plan to your reservations.

As far as the Disney Dining Plan is concerned, you'd need to have a separate Disney Dining Plan for each segment of your stay. You can not carry the Disney Dining Plan over from one resort reservation to the next. You can also choose to only use the Dining Plan for one of your stays, if you wish.

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question, Stephanie. Please come back and see us again real soon.

    Have a Disney day,
    Ashley
