Welcome back, Paula!
I’m so happy to hear that you are considering that split stay. Honestly, it really just depends on how you want to split your plans. My family usually splits our plans in two, but not down the middle. In the beginning portion of our trip, we will add the
Dining Plan. And usually for the last three or so days, we dine regularly. The bonus to that is I like to look at our second check-in date as a second chance to score any original
dining reservations we missed. TIP: Set a separate calendar alert for your second reservation check-in date and an early morning alarm!
While you are able to
track your dining plan credits on the
My Disney Experience mobile app, and on your receipts. I recommend keeping your own tab in your phone's notes application. That way, if you are planning on booking both reservations with a Dining Plan, you can make sure you use all of your credits before beginning the second part of your trip.
The best news is, even though you will have multiple reservations, everything will still be visible by date on your
My Disney Experience account. I also like to handwrite everything out during the planning phase so that I can double-check my plans, and it helps me memorize the overall plans too. Of course, everything can be modified, so if you’ve forgotten anything, don’t worry, there’s always the possibility to add it, subject to availability.
Paula, I hope this helps ease your worries so that you can get back to planning. If you have any other questions, you know where to find us!
Happy Planning,
Shantel
