Hi! Thank you for this panel; what a blessing! I have four boys (8,6,4,2). We are coming for a week in October and have the dining plan. Which character dining experiences are the best for boys?

    Hi Kara!

Snips and snails and puppy dog tails - don't you just love your boys?   At first glance, it may seem like princesses have taken over Disney World, but never fear, plenty of great meals are just perfect for boys.  While there aren't any character meals focused entirely on boys (Hello, Disney World, hint, hint!!!)  there are some awesome choices.  The ever popular Chef Mickey's breakfast and dinner buffets at the Contemporary Resort, continue to be my boys' favorite.  This restaraunt exemplifies everything that you think of when you hear the words "character meal" - Mickey Mouse, tons of buffet items and lots of loud, happy children!   My new favorite character meal is Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Minnie all sport safari gear and spend lots of quality time with the kiddos here.   The detail found in Tusker House is amazing - you will swear that you are in the middle of far off Asia!

Our other faves don't feature Disney characters, but are magical just the same.  While in Disney's Hollywood Studios, you simply have to check out the Sci-Fi Dine In.  Diners are seated in cars and cheesy old movie clips are shown in this simulated drive in movie theater.  The boys can even get a glowing clip on Cars toy for their drinks!   Over in Downtown Disney, our entire family loves to eat at Planet Hollywood.  My boys could spend hours exploring this larger than life resteraunt that does double duty as a movie museum!  Two other really cool eateries are located in Downtown Disney, the T-Rex Cafe and the Rainforest Cafe.  While these places are not on the Dining Plan, the theming in both of these restaurants is completely over the top and special effects abound.  For even more great choices, be sure to visit www.AllEarsNet.com for menus, reviews and more.  Have a magical trip with your little men!!!

    Much pixie dust,
