Thank u Mona Leigh G. for all your help. We are looking @ Oct but was wondering if Labor day week in Sept is better then the 3rd week in Oct. We would enjoy the F&W Festival but does it draw a large crowd like Star Wars Weekend? Your help is appreciate

    Hi Melinda,

You are more than welcome.  I am so happy to help you with questions about your vacation.

My thought is that the two weeks that you are considering, Labor Day week and the third week of October, are likely to be fairly similar in crowds.  The third week of October begins with Columbus Day, which means that for both of these weeks, children may be out of school for a day or two.  These long weekends may cause crowds to be a little higher, especially at the beginning of the week when the holidays fall.  Crowds will likely fall off over the course of the week for both weeks.  I do suggest looking at the touringplans.com website for crowd predictions.

The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival does increase crowds at Epcot; however, I don't feel that crowds at the rest of the parks are too impacted by it.  You will find Epcot to be more crowded at night and on the weekends during the International Food and Wine Festival as many Florida locals come to this event.  I would suggest that if you choose the October week for your trip that you plan to visit Epcot on a weekday and earlier in the day.

I hope this information helps.  Please let me know if I can help you with any further questions for you trip planning!
